Behind Sampa City Swing are Priscilla Ferreira & Marcos Felipe — directors, teachers, and references in the development of West Coast Swing in São Paulo.
Partners in life and dance, they share a clear mission: to expand, strengthen, and transform the community through dance.
With a trajectory built over years of dedication, continuous study, and national and international experiences, the couple stands out not only for technique but mainly for how they impact people on and off the dance floor.
Priscilla Ferreira: Art, Technique, and Sensitivity
Beginning her training in childhood, Priscilla built a solid foundation in ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance before discovering ballroom dancing as her true passion at 19.
Her path includes rich national and international experience, working as a teacher, performer, and coordinator for Costa Cruise seasons.
Recognized as one of West Coast Swing’s pioneers in Brazil, Priscilla played a fundamental role in the style’s development in the country, always combining refined technique, musicality, and artistic sensitivity.
Marcos Felipe: Strategy, Expansion, and Connection
With a degree in Commercial Management and over two decades of experience, Marcos brings a unique strategic vision to the artistic dance scene.
He began his ballroom dance journey in 2005, exploring diverse styles until finding his greatest passion in West Coast Swing in 2011.
Since then, he has become essential in WCS’s expansion in São Paulo, combining didactics, growth vision, and a strong ability to connect with students.
A Partnership that Builds Community
Since 2016, Priscilla and Marcos have consolidated their professional partnership with a clear purpose: to make West Coast Swing grow, strengthen, and gain more space in São Paulo and Brazil.
Over the years, they created and led projects that directly impacted community growth, such as:
-
West Coast Swing Day São Paulo (7 consecutive years)
-
Projeto Divulga West
-
JT Swing Team (Seasons 1 and 2)
-
West Evolution
-
Sampa City Swing
They are founders and owners of Connection Dance Studio, one of the country’s main West Coast Swing hubs, with classes every day of the week and a solid, passionate community.
More than teaching steps, Priscilla & Marcos create real experiences and connections. They believe in dance as a tool for expression, transformation, and belonging.
And it is exactly this vision that breathes life into Sampa City Swing, an event created to unite, evolve, and inspire the entire community.
